However, kidney transplants are expensive and not affordable for ordinary people. The poonoor Ayesha Hussain Dialysis Centre provides free dialysis to kidney patients based on their financial status. This Centre is run under the SYS Kozhikode District Committee, and over 350 kidney patients receive dialysis every month.
